This FOI Body Dispute Policy and Procedure has been published by the Minister for Public Expenditure & Reform to provide an orderly method in resolving issues raised via section 6(7) of the FOI Act where a dispute arises over whether an entity is a public body for the purposes of the Act in accordance with Section 6(1), or the conditions arising by virtue of that subsection. The purpose of this policy and procedure is to enable an efficient and effective outcome for all involved in a dispute outlined above.
