FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT \u00a02014 (EFFECTIVE DATE FOR CERTAIN BODIES) ORDER 2015<\/p>\n

I, BRENDAN HOWLIN, Minister \u00a0for \u00a0Public \u00a0Expenditure and \u00a0Reform, \u00a0in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 6(5) of the Freedom of Infor- mation \u00a0Act 2014 (No. 30 of 2014), with the consent \u00a0of the Minister \u00a0for the Environment, Community and \u00a0Local Government and \u00a0the \u00a0Minister \u00a0for Justice and \u00a0Equality, \u00a0hereby \u00a0make \u00a0the \u00a0following order, \u00a0a draft \u00a0of which has been \u00a0laid before \u00a0each \u00a0House \u00a0of the \u00a0Oireachtas and \u00a0a resolution approving \u00a0of the \u00a0draft has been \u00a0passed \u00a0by each such House:<\/p>\n

1. This Order may be cited as the Freedom of Information Act 2014 (Effective<\/p>\n
Date \u00a0for Certain \u00a0Bodies) \u00a0Order 2015.<\/p>\n
Private Residential Tenancies Board<\/p>\n
2. The \u00a021st day of April \u00a02012 is the \u00a0effective \u00a0date \u00a0under \u00a0section \u00a02(1) of the Freedom of Information Act \u00a02014 (No. \u00a030 of 2014) in the \u00a0case of the \u00a0Private Residential Tenancies \u00a0Board.<\/p>\n
Refugee \u00a0Applications Commissioner and Refugee \u00a0Appeals \u00a0Tribunal<\/p>\n
3. The \u00a014th day of October 2014 is the \u00a0effective \u00a0date \u00a0under \u00a0section \u00a02(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2014 (No. 30 of 2014) in the case of\u2014<\/p>\n
(a) \u00a0the Refugee \u00a0Applications Commissioner, and<\/p>\n
(b) \u00a0the Refugee \u00a0Appeals \u00a0Tribunal.<\/p>\n
The Minister\u00a0 for the Environment, Community and Local Government consents to the making of the foregoing \u00a0Order.<\/p>\n

EXPLANATORY NOTE<\/p>\n
(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)<\/p>\n
The purpose of this Order is to provide \u00a0different effective dates (retrospective dates) \u00a0back \u00a0to\u00a0 which the \u00a0records \u00a0of the \u00a0Private \u00a0Residential Tenancies \u00a0Board, the Refugee \u00a0Applications Commissioner and the Refugee \u00a0Appeals \u00a0Tribunal will be available \u00a0under \u00a0FOI \u00a0once \u00a0they \u00a0become \u00a0public \u00a0bodies \u00a0under \u00a0the \u00a0Act \u00a0on 14 April \u00a02015. The relevant \u00a0effective \u00a0dates \u00a0are set out in the Order. The standard effective \u00a0date \u00a0of 21 April \u00a02008 provided \u00a0for under \u00a0the \u00a0Act \u00a0will not, \u00a0therefore, apply to those \u00a0bodies.<\/p>\n
