Disclosure Logs will be from the date of each FOI body\u2019s Publication Scheme.<br \/>\n<\/div><\/p>\n<p><strong><a style=\"display:none;\" class=\"collapse-text\" id=\"te1570622037\" href=\"javascript:expand('#te1570622037')\">Will FOI bodies have to redesign their websites to fulfil the requirements of the Publication Scheme?<\/a>\n<div class=\"te_div\" id=\"te1570622037\"><script language=\"JavaScript\" type=\"text\/javascript\">expander_hide('#te1570622037');<\/script><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> Websites need not be redesigned but rather links be provided from the Publication Scheme to the relevant section\/page of the website.<br \/>\n<\/div><\/p>\n<p><strong><a style=\"display:none;\" class=\"collapse-text\" id=\"te27150768\" href=\"javascript:expand('#te27150768')\">How often must the Publication Scheme be updated?<\/a>\n<div class=\"te_div\" id=\"te27150768\"><script language=\"JavaScript\" type=\"text\/javascript\">expander_hide('#te27150768');<\/script><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> The Scheme should be reviewed and updated every 3 years but the content should be reviewed on an annual basis, bearing in mind that some content such as financial information and procurement is required to updated on a more frequent basis.<br \/>\n<\/div><\/p>\n<p><strong><a style=\"display:none;\" class=\"collapse-text\" id=\"te2110346752\" href=\"javascript:expand('#te2110346752')\">Do FOI bodies have to maintain a hard copy of the Publication Scheme?<\/a>\n<div class=\"te_div\" id=\"te2110346752\"><script language=\"JavaScript\" type=\"text\/javascript\">expander_hide('#te2110346752');<\/script><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> The basic Scheme is to be available in hard copy.\u00a0 This should include the links to various sections of the organisation\u2019s website, as appropriate.\u00a0 It is not the intention to produce every link in hard copy, however members of the public should be facilitated where they give notice of 24 hours that they wish to view particular documents in hard copy.<br \/>\n<\/div><\/p>\n<p><strong><a style=\"display:none;\" class=\"collapse-text\" id=\"te1806375379\" href=\"javascript:expand('#te1806375379')\">Where should the Publication Scheme be located?<\/a>\n<div class=\"te_div\" id=\"te1806375379\"><script language=\"JavaScript\" type=\"text\/javascript\">expander_hide('#te1806375379');<\/script><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> It is recommended that the Publication Scheme be located on the home page of each FOI body\u2019s website. A link to the Scheme should also be provided in the FOI section of each organisations website, in addition to any other area the FOI body deems appropriate e.g. About Us section, Publication section etc.<br \/>\n<\/div><\/p>\n<p><strong><a style=\"display:none;\" class=\"collapse-text\" id=\"te945840909\" href=\"javascript:expand('#te945840909')\">Must FOI bodies publish records released under the Act as part of the Disclosure Log?<\/a>\n<div class=\"te_div\" id=\"te945840909\"><script language=\"JavaScript\" type=\"text\/javascript\">expander_hide('#te945840909');<\/script><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> The requirement for Disclosure Logs is set out in Section 6 of the Code of Practice and inclusion of replies\/records is voluntary. FOI bodies should bear in mind however that the Publication Scheme is to promote proactive publication of information, and where certain records are released under the FOI Act on a regular basis the body should consider publishing these as part of the Scheme under Section F.<br \/>\n<\/div><\/p>\n<p><strong><a style=\"display:none;\" class=\"collapse-text\" id=\"te928492276\" href=\"javascript:expand('#te928492276')\">There is a provision in Section D about publishing information about Funding or Sponsorship. Is this for all non-procurement payments and is it for single payments of above \u20ac10,000 or a total of more than \u20ac10,000 per annum?<\/a>\n<div class=\"te_div\" id=\"te928492276\"><script language=\"JavaScript\" type=\"text\/javascript\">expander_hide('#te928492276');<\/script><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> It is envisaged that details should be published where funding by way of a grant or sponsorship is provided from public funds to non-public bodies (or individuals). The threshold of \u20ac10,000 refers to the total amount of funding in a calendar year (e.g. an NGO may receive two payments of \u20ac5,000 within a year \u2013 this should be published).<br \/>\n<\/div><\/p>\n<p><strong><a style=\"display:none;\" class=\"collapse-text\" id=\"te791273057\" href=\"javascript:expand('#te791273057')\">Why is a link to eTenders not sufficient to provide procurement details?<\/a>\n<div class=\"te_div\" id=\"te791273057\"><script language=\"JavaScript\" type=\"text\/javascript\">expander_hide('#te791273057');<\/script><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> A link to the eTenders website will not be sufficient for procurement details of FOI bodies, as the information to be published via the Scheme is not easily accessible to the general public via eTenders.<br \/>\n<\/div><\/p>\n<p><strong><a style=\"display:none;\" class=\"collapse-text\" id=\"te1070713072\" href=\"javascript:expand('#te1070713072')\">Why is there not a separate Model Publication Scheme for smaller FOI bodies?<\/a>\n<div class=\"te_div\" id=\"te1070713072\"><script language=\"JavaScript\" type=\"text\/javascript\">expander_hide('#te1070713072');<\/script><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> This was considered and the CPU sought suggestions from such bodies with regard to the information that they can provide and the information that such bodies would deem impractical to include in the Scheme. The response to that request was very low. The guidance document does provide that there will be a limited number of cases where an FOI body comprises a committee, tribunal or Board that do not have ongoing functions. In such cases the FOI body can meet the requirements of the publication scheme by drawing attention to where the information is contained in its Annual Report, or on its website (if any).<br \/>\n<\/div><\/p>\n<p><strong><a style=\"display:none;\" class=\"collapse-text\" id=\"te250251188\" href=\"javascript:expand('#te250251188')\">Will the Publication Scheme have to be translated to Irish?<\/a>\n<div class=\"te_div\" id=\"te250251188\"><script language=\"JavaScript\" type=\"text\/javascript\">expander_hide('#te250251188');<\/script><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> Public bodies named under the Official Languages Act, must look at their own Irish Language scheme and determine if a commitment to make such a publication available in Irish has been made.
